The annual Hawick junior
handicapped tournament was played on Tuesday, 25th April, 2017 at Hawick High School main games hall.
Two pools of players played
round robin games against each other with each game played over
one end to 15 points. The winner from each pool then went
through to play in the final.
The final was
played over a single game to 21 points and was between Chloe
Blaikie (4) and Aiden Middlemass (0). Chloe won the final
21-15.
The trophies for the
handicapped tournament were presented by Laura Turnbull. The
trophy that is given to the Young Player of the Year, for
their dedication and commitment towards the sport and who has
continued to improve steadily throughout the season, was
presented this year to Chloe Blaikie. Coach Harry Turnbull would
like to thank Laura Turnbull and Nancy Morrison for their help
and support throughout the season.
